NETS

This weekend – 31 March/1 April will be the last for indoor nets at Manor School.

Outdoor nets will start on Tuesday 10 April for seniors and Friday 20 April for juniors. The first (20 April) junior session will also include a session for parents where Karl and his people will provide insight on the season. It is important that at least one parent/guardian of each child comes to that session – more later.

GROUND WORK

As always there is loads to do to get both the ground and pavilion ready for cricket. You can decide which day this weekend to attend for as long as possible. The club will be open from 10 am on both 31 March and 1 April. Please bring sandpaper, paint brushes, any spare white paint (gloss or emulsion), rakes (the outfield was v long when first cut so needs the hay that is left removing), barrows and gloves. WE will remove all the rubbish that has lain around for years.. The plan is to get all the work done this weekend leaving Easter free. If you can’t make it this weekend then please arrange to come down for an evening. Just let me know and I make sure the club is open.

Pre Season Players Get Together

There will be a players get-together after nets next Sunday, 11th March.

There are a number of purposes – an update on the season ahead, to meet new members and to allow those players who have so far found it impossible to get to nets the chance to reacquaint themselves with the club.

It will be held at the Lord Nelson in Poppleton. This is very easy to ding. Simply turn left to Poppleton under the bridge about 200 yards from Manor School and keep going. the road is straight for about 800 yards and then bends to the left.

All senior matches on now on the play cricket site.

See you there at 7.45pm.
